Sales Policy
Reservations
Thank you for your interest in our goats. If you are interested in a kid from a specific breeding, you may ask to be put on our wait list for that breeding. There is no cost to be put on the wait list. Preference will be given to those who make a $100 non-refundable reservation ($50 for wethers). If the doe fails to have the kid you have reserved, your reservation fee may be refunded, transferred to different doe, or rolled over to the next breeding season. Preference may also be given for those interested in bottle wethers (if available).
When a kid meeting your criteria becomes available, you will be contacted and given 24 hours to decide if you would like the kid. Once you have agreed to purchase a specific kid, a half down deposit (includes any reservation already made) will be required within 7 days. The deposit is non-refundable. If the deposit is not received by the allotted time, the next person on the wait list will be contacted and your reservation will be forfeited. Complete payment is due before the kid is picked up on the agreed upon date.
We reserve the right to retain any kid regardless of reservations. Reservations will be returned if this happens.
Adult goats that are offered for sale will follow the same sales policy as the kids. A non-refundable deposit of half down will be required within 7 days of deciding to purchase the goat. Complete payment must be made by the time the goat is picked up on the scheduled date.
We reserve the right refuse service for any reason.
Payment
We accept Venmo, Zelle, or cash.
All sales are final.
Goat Pick Up and Transportation
Buyers may pick up their goats at our farm. We are located in Florence, MT.
National ground transportation is available at the buyers expense. Please contact Arlene House or Medicine Mountain Pet Transport for more information. Both of these ground transporters are highly recommended. Additional fees are associated with ground transportation and include but are not limited to veterinary expenses, health certificates, tests, etc. The buyer is responsible for these additional expenses.
All goats must be picked up by the predetermined agreed upon date. If you're unable to get your goat for some unforeseen circumstance, we may charge $2 per day to keep your goat. If we still have your reserved goat after 14 days and no rescheduled pick up dates are scheduled, your reservation may be forfeited along with your deposit. The goat will then be available to the next person on the wait list.
Goat Health and Procedures
Every goat that is sold will be in good health at the time it leaves our farm. Travel and new environments are stressful for young goats. We are not responsible for a goat's health once it is picked up. You are more than welcome to have your goat examined by a veterinarian at your expense if desired. We are happy to have any specific or additional testing performed at your expense as well.
All of our goats receive routine health care and are examined by a veterinarian on a regular basis. Our herd is tested annually for CAE, CL, and Johne's disease. Each goat will be up to date on their CDT vaccine. All goats will be dewormed or have fecal testing performed as recommended by a veterinarian. Goats will be free of external parasites. All feet will be trimmed before leaving. Horned kids will be disbudded. Kids sold as wethers will be banded prior to leaving our property.
